Tunnel Vision

Kerry Baylor
Driven to Abstraction

I was travelling back from Newcastle and, driven by boredom, started looking for abstractions in what I was seeing. I was lucky enough to be sitting next to a window that had scratches all over it. Then it rained and we stopped in a tunnel.

Nice image! I love the scratches and raindrops on the window. The red of what looks to be someone's arm is cool, too. I find myself looking really hard to see what's going on in this photo.

I initially thought that this is an underwater shot. The way the 2 end-bits of the newspaper are placed makes it look like a fish-tail to me, plus the bubbly look of the raindrops on the window. I enjoyed studying & solving the mystery of this image!
