Foundation Stone

Following the decision to found the federal capital of the Commonwealth of Australia at the present site of Canberra, a foundation stone was laid on Capital Hill. Many years later it had to be moved to make way for the new Parliament House.

Actually the stone was relocated when the building of the New Parliament House commenced. Ed was at the relocation ceremony, during which one of the ceremonial horses apparently bolted!
