Seeking Solitude

Lorna Sim
Found

It was one of those days when your mind is in turmoil and you need to seek total solitude for some serious self-reflection. I headed off to Lake Burley Griffin on the Western Park side. This is what I found — some solitude with seagulls keeping their distance and their peace. It was nearly 8pm, but there was still some light left and a light drizzle of rain as well.

I love the softness and grain in this shot. Is this the result of the low light and rain, or something else?

Beautiful, serene image, Lorna. I love the composition. The birds are arranged so nicely in the frame.
