Awake and Silence
Ed Whalan
Silence
Every morning the birds start singing at 4.30am, the volume steadily increases until the sun rises, then once I am well and truly awake there seems to be a moment of silence.

Welcome to the Old Spool Betties!
We're a collective of 7 photographic artists who live in and around Canberra, the capital city of Australia.
What We Do
Our aims all end with "ing" —
encouraging
each other,
experimenting
with photography and
commenting
on the images we make.
We also work to set topics. From August to December 2008, these include:
Corner
Exploration
Real Life
Nice to meet you
Looking up, looking down
World Toy Camera Day 2008
You'll also notice plenty of shots with an "open" theme.
